Personal Assistant

James is a Personal Assistant we are working closely with:-

I work as a Personal Assistant (PA) providing home care to a client who has early stage Alzheimers.

As his condition progressed and his needs increased I found it difficult to provide my client with the seven days per week support he now required.

I met the Sunshine Coast Directors at a forum and later contacted them to see if they could take on a share of the increased input my client needed.

Sunshine Coast’s full Care Quality Commission (CQC) accreditation gave me confidence. This means they are trained to provide personal care and medication and are held to the highest CQC standards. As such they have been able to contribute beyond just visiting our client. Sunshine Coast have offered ideas and solutions for the improved care of our client and have seen them through with sensitivity to their position as part of what is now a team of PAs.

They see our client four times a week for two hours. Importantly they are flexible in providing cover for other shifts as required and communicate well to help ensure the client has seamless care.

Our client is now able to continue to live in his home which is important to him. The home care provided by Sunshine Coast is crucial in allowing him to do so.

I was finding it increasingly difficult to manage everyday tasks in my home. A friend told me about Sunshine Coast Support. I contacted Sunshine and spoke to Julie one of their Directors. Julie visited me at home. We discussed my needs and what her company could do for me.

Basically Sunshine Coast Support have changed my life. They visit me for 1 hour twice per week. Yes of course they help me do all the home care things such as cleaning and shopping. However we also have have fun trips out together, to such things as church events or simply lovely walks along the prom.

If I had to say what was the most important thing that Sunshine Coast have given me, it would be confidence. The confidence that I can continue to live a full and safe life in my own home. I hope you contact them and let them help you as they have me.

Pat is another of our Eastbourne clients.

I have been receiving home care from Sunshine Coast Support for 1 year now. They visit me for 1 hour per week.

They help me with keeping my flat clean and tidy. On occasion I need assistance with getting some shopping in. I call their office the day before to let them know. They arrive at my home the usual time with all the shopping that I have requested.

About once per month I like to go out on a local trip, perhaps to the hairdressers or such like. Sunshine take me wherever I want to go and look after me.

There is so much more to the support Sunshine Coast give than just home care. I am very satisfied with the service Sunshine provide,in particular that they always go the extra mile to support me.They have been brilliant.
